I have finally sourced and ordered all the gaskets to get my rb20 back together but an OEM headgasket. Im going with arp studs but do not plan to have the head or block resurfaced. Would it be a mistake to go with a cosmetic or tomei.....maybe coating them with the copper spray?
I really dont want to go with one for my 300hp goals. I cant find one tho ONE MORE LEFT!

I'm running a cometic MLS. Some of the spray copper cans have a warning to not use it for head gaskets.I did see a performance shop that used it with them and said that every time they developed a leak over extended use. It's best to have the block and head resurfaced to use MLS gasket. The machine shop close to me only charges $30 for I6 block and head resurfacing combo. Others can't be too much.
On a side note I have a NEW stock Nissan RB25DET head gasket in my office. Don't know if they're even close but its just sitting there. It came in a kit but like I said, I used a MLS. It's still in the bag!

I just dont want to tear the block apart... more parts and i think it must only have like 60-80k. I dont even want to take all the crap out of the head and not have new seals. Ill just break out a straight edge and check it all out. Man i have no idea if the 25 one is the same or close i highly dout it..2.0,2.5 maybe only the stroke changed!
