Hey guys I used the conversion PDF document in the wiring section on RB forums.org to rewire my RBdash plug ans such to swap my RB. Just one final question though. On the last page, the first asterick it talks about giving the grey wire in the grey plug next to the fuel pressure regulator 12 V DC ON power. Are they talking about the injector plug? Or is it something else. AE81 is the wire theyre talking about. AS far as I knew, I thought that was a ground for the injector harness???

The gray wire is the power wire for the injectors and on S1 motors, it needs to be manually connected to 12V power in order for the injectors to fire. I think the S2 wiring wires it from the IGN or ECCS relay instead of a chassis plug like the S1.

So every injector has a grey wire wire going to it. And then a different color wire going to each individual wire, that I noticed that goes to the ECU. Whats the purpose of each wire?

Hmm, I feel like I have answered this one once before but what the hell:

As darius mentioned the grey wire is 12V "power" to the injector.

The other wire (which is different colored) which goes to the ECU is the injector "signal" wire. This allows the ECU to fire each injector seperately (since the system is sequential).

When the ECU wants to fire an injector it puts a ground pulse on the colored ("signal") wire. 12V is on the grey wire, GROUND on the other wire which allows current to pass through the coil of the injector. The electromagetics respond to the current in the injector which causes the pintle to open/balls to move/discs to move (depending on type of injector) and fuel flows through the injector.

Alright thanks, and as long as the ECU, ECCS whatever system is grounded out, the whole system should work properly right?

grounds are important but you need to be concerned about powering devices...in this case the injectors.give the grey wire 12v switched and you'll be fine.
