ok, so I bought the car knowing it had been in a slight front end crash. Repairs had been done, including a new radiator, and who knows what else. No records came with the car, and the guy who sold it to me knew NOTHING about the car. Anyway,at night, one headlight beam seems to be off center, but if you flick the brights on/off, it will come on full power and the "off center" appearance is gone- well, until I use a blinker, that is....then I have to flick the brights again.... Anyway, I'm driving today, and in the reflection of the car in front of me I notice that I have one headlight on. Just one, the one that seems "off center". The light switch is in the "off" position, but still, there it is. If I turn my lights on, then shut them off, it goes out-only to come on again later. I don't even know where to begin. I know it has to be an electrical glitch somewhere, but are these controlled by some sort of monitoring devise? Could this just be a loose or exposed wire? Or should I seek the help of a priest, and resist driving her until the exorcism has been performed?

**possibly related, but probably completely unrelated, I have noticed that my car does not start "normally". It starts on the first turn of the key, but it seems to "roll" first. It's a slight hesitation before the engine fires up. Another electrical issue? Bad spark plug/wire seems likely...

No Ideas? Cause I'm on my way out to jump start the dead battery now, (6:33 AM) because the headlight decided to pop on sometime last night....

sounds like the common ground for the lights is all screwed up. Hard to say what was cut/crushed with the accident.

Or maybe the switch on the steering column is bad.

I'm going with the switch on the steering column, I left the car today with the selector pushed out as if my brights were on, and the light stayed off. I guess I'll replace the switch and see what happens.... thanks guys!

Well this place is old
It feels just like a beat up truck
I turn the engine, but the engine doesn't turn
Well it smells of cheap wine & cigarettes
This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I'd like to watch it burn
I'm so alone, and I feel just like somebody else
Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same
But somewhere here in between the city walls of dyin' dreams
I think her death it must be killin' me
