So I'm driving home from the Pirates/Astros game, and I'm almost home. I actually get to my favorite part of the drive.....about a mile long down hill slope with no hidden entrances or hiding places for the pOlice to hide that I like to cruise at about 70mph on and every now and then have a little fun with a quick jump to XXX, and this Riced out Tiburon pulls up next to me. He had at least 50hp worth of stickers alone.

Anyway, it was raining, I was in a good mood (no need to drive fast in order to blow off steam), and I was talking on the phone..........so I just shook my head and thought ......what a dumbass, and he flys off. Any other day I would have dropped it to 3rd and had some fun......but today, the right decision was made.

Next thing I see is this car pass me up pretty quick....its not just any cop.........its the mini-van sherriff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he cought up to the lightning fast Tiburon and proceeded to pull him over and issue him a citation. LMAO. I had to give him a little engine rev as I drove by where they were parked.

You think he'll tell all his friends about that one? Let me guess tiburon dude, the mini was probably running NOS right?;)

If we're gonna get into what the popo drive around here, they have intrepids (and they love to show off...so immature...), ss camaros (usually unmarked...they get people for racing all the time...racing with them that is), and the new monte carlos.

isn't it entrapment or illegal in some other form when the cops are racing too? I heard that somewhere, but I don't plan on ever testing it personally ;)

I think so, but I'm with you...I really wouldn't like to test that theory out.

I don't like traffic cops. I have respect for people willing to risk their lives for others. Too many traffic cops are pricks though! Most of the time cops in Tampa roll in Crown Vics. One strange thing happened to me one night was this:

I was coming home late in my S14. I see this Crown Vic and I'm like "Whoa its a cop." So I slow down. It was unmarked so I crept up behind him real slow and didn't see any lights or State tag. I also didn't see any antennas. I figured he's just some old guy in a brown Crown Vic. As I go to pass him, he hits these strobes that are in the headlights. As if to say, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." I quickly back off and let him keep going.

edit:

Oh yeah, when I first got my S14...like the second day or so, I get pulled over by this Deputy Sherrif that was SOOO HOT. I mean its really rare to find a good looking cop. The was South American or Italian or something...hard to tell with the flashlight in my eyes. If I saw her in a social setting I'd definitely try to shoot some game at her. :cuddle But I'm not stupid enough to try that when I'm pulled over for speeding. I did get off with a warning though.

haha the city cops around here are so fat and lazy.. i was speeding b4 school to pick up my x and i come around a corner a lil fast.. (like 10 over.. bah) anyways there was a cop he flips his lights.. im like.. ****.. but he just sticks his hand out the window and waves at me to slow down...

alright story 2.. i was going over to my friends house one night.. probily like 9pm.. i was turning from a 4 lane road and there were cars coming so i took the corner fast.. i come up to the side walk (goes across the road) and there is a guy walking his dog..(i didnt see them, he had no flash light and was wareing black) he yanks his dog back and i came like 2 feet from hitting the dog.. i yelled "sorry" and kept going while he yelled "WATCH THE F*** OUT!!" now my friend that was sitting next is like "dude that was a cop with his dog" (he always messes with my head) so im like.. no, shut the hell up.. i keep driving and i see 2 cop cars parked in the road.. as it turns out it was a cop and he was looking for somone that ran.. that about scared the shiz out of me.. so when i got to my friends house i parked the car in the G-rage and closed the door and hung out for about an hour... when i left the cops were gone... haha

anyways.. cops around here drive around in crown viks, cavalyrs, and SUV's and some camaros... we have some DUY vans also..

Here in KS we get the Crown Vics and thats about it. There used to be a Mustang GT and a Transam that the Highway patrol had, but I haven't seen either of those in over 2 yrs. Luckily their budget got cut and I think they had to ditch them. whew! But I don't really think there is any good situation to run from a cop. I mean, if you are on the highway, he'll be faster unless you've got some serious motor work done, and even then he'll just call ahead. In town, you MIGHT have an advantage because of the cars, but those cops know a lot more about driving then most of us do. But here it kinda depends on which kind of cop is pulling you over. If it is a county sheriff, they are pretty cool, as long as your nice. If it is a TPD (Topeka Police Department) you'll get a ticket no matter what it is and they will always be total asses to you. I don't care if you have a taillight out, your gonna get a ticket. I'd like to run over one of their feet one day. Wait till they get up to the car and just take off. Damn bastards.....

That's what I roll in now at work - Since they took my Interceptor away (too many "crash go boom" stories).

Surprisingly fast for a 4-door 4x4. :D

Hmmm - I'll need more to go on than that. Different cities are more than welcome to run ANYTHING in an official capacity... Tucson PD uses a lot of seized vehicles as UC units.

Where you at in Tucson? I spent 5 years there.

Also, go check out http://www.az240sx.org for some Tucson-area 240 action.
