so yea got it on the road 2day, mods are 3in dp, 3in catback and a cone filter.its making 10lbs, im assuming thats because of bolt ons?also, oil psi seem ok cruising at like 2k is right above 40psi, at idle is like 15, but my idle is a little low (like 550rpms) making full boost by like 3200 and pulls nicely, kinda sluggish until then but i guess thats how most boosted cars are, its definatly a huge upgrade from the ka, i rly like the how it pulls steadily from like 3500 all the way up to like 7k. i havent rly revved over 7k, dont rly see the need to

but yea does all of this sound normal

im running an smic by the way

This all sounds about right from what I know. I'm not familiar with what the oil pressure should run at though. To me 15psi at idle seems low, and so does 40psi at 2K. But I'm used to my 4.0L Jeep cherokee that has never seen oil pressure below 40psi and runs about 80psi when I first start it up. And that's on 10-30. I would also attempt to lower the boost a bit if you can. 10 psi on the stock sidemount with the stock T25 is kinda pushing it as far as air temps go.

my chevy S10 had an oil pressure gauge in the dash, it read as low as 12psi at idle and well over 35 psi at high RPM (heh.. high RPM.. the CA's powerband is just getting going when the S10 was redlining ROFL)

Jeeps also have a tendency to send the oil pressure senor straight through the hood sometimes, IIRC its a common problem.

sweet, ok so how can i lower the boost? i mean im all about wats best for the car, even if it means goin a little slower. i mean i dident do anything to raise it as in liek a manual controller or anything. and yea lol i just worked on a jeep today at work that blew its oil psi gauge out, they are a ***** to get to kinda

also at like high rpm's like 5500k and up the car kinda shakes, but i put in a vlsd and im wondering if its the driveshaft being liek turned diff or sumthin, and info on that would be cool, im on stock motor mounts with the diy polyurathane setup

and it seems wen im just cruising at liek 2-3 k it will kinda start to sputter, not liek drop revs, and i rly can even see the needle jumping much at all, any ideas?

I knew it about the jeeps!

Also, the shaking just possibly could be an old diffy losing viscosity (or a chattering clutch, only experienced with puck clutches) and youre experiencing wheel hop. The possible fix is subframe spacer/bushings. SPL has a nice set. It could be something else though.

The sputtering should be handled by the gurus. Hope I helped at all.

Mine is about 15-20 psi on idle, and yeah, depends on oil temp, if cold it'll run off my gauge, if warm usually goes up around i think 70-80 psi..

I'm using an auto-meter oil temp gauge, mechanical.

im using the same gauge, but yea more tips on why it seems to be bogging while crusing? 2day i noticed its usually around like 3k, where boost starts to build, so is it just cuz im kinda jumping in an outa boost??-andy
