For as long as i can remember after installing my brembo cross-drilled rotors and hawk pads my e-brake has been acting funny. I will yank it all the way up and it will go all the way with hardly any tension. I pump it up and down a few times and then it gets tight about half way. I know the emergency brake is cable activated and not hydraulic so this doesnt make much sense.

-The reason i'm concerned about it now is there's a drift practice/event coming up here in a few weeks and i'm a new too it. Don't think i'll have much luck starting out with feint/ braking drift and would like to initial with the e-brake.

-What can i check/look for/adjust to try and get this thing working? Appreciate any help/input.

If you have a manual it shows you how to adjust it. There is either an adjustment screw by the handle or underneath at the equalizer cable. That is where the two cables come together, or unless 240s cables go up to the handle with no equalizer then I dont know.

make sure the cables aren't being pinched along the way from the rear to the cabin. additionally, make sure the cables aren't sticking inside their housings. have a friend pull the cables and watch for which one will pull more smoothly than the other.

the cables seem to be moving fine inside the cabin. removed the center console and looked fine. I will check the lines running under the car, and also to see if maybe one of the clips holding the e-brake to the caliper came loose/shifted. Was looking through the FSM 93-94(assume its the same) mines a 90 hatch. And the e-brake hose/housing is supposed to be lined up with a mark. will check it later today after work. sucks pulling the e-brake and barely slowing down. i got hawk hps pads should be grabbing.
