Yup on my way to the dyno after work to see what kinda power I got from the intakemanifold and frontmount.... well almost made it there till someone cause a 4 car accident. The lady hits a toyota pick up in the corner and side swipes a civic. Well the truck started to spin from getting hit near the rear wheels. Guess who was close by on the 2 lane highway? yup ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOB. now I'll have to deal with the insurance company on this because the lady that caused the pile up didn't have insurance. I think they might give me $20 for my 240 and tell me to go kick rocks tho lol.

Have no idea. I made 218 last time and that was just exhaust and boost uped to 12 pounds I think. It feels alot faster now with the front mount and the Intake manifold. Ahh well time will tell what will happen.

Gap insurance only cover the difference between your cars actual value & the laon amount. I think you mean a "stated value" policy since most S13 owners probably arent making payments.

That really sucks man, looking at the pics, I say its time to find a new shell........sorry! That quarter is WASTED and thats not a "user serviceable" part. Alot of work goes into replacing a quarter panel, its like 17 hours labor for a trained tech, after removing all the attached parts!

Sorry man!

file a cival suit against the lady who caused the accident. You might be able to get enough out of it to get a new 240 shell. Might even cover a little extra for all the hours it will take you to swap the engine and other stuff from the old car to the new car.

For some reason doesn't look that bad to me...Seems it'd be worth to fix unless frame is bent or rear axle/suspension products are F'ed. I'd like to mess with it and fix it.Too much of a pain to cut and weld back in but I'd try it.Depends on how much they give ya.

It dosen't look that bad to me either but we will see what they do. The lady that caused it drove a beat down car and had no insurance. Trying to get money from her would be like trying to squeeze water from a rock.

It looks taht bad to me, quarter is HAMMERED...in a bodyshop you would pay more to fix that baby...outer wheelhouse is also...quarter moved so much the window broke.

I wouldn't be surprised if the roof and floor were buckled also!

Yea but m point s.Yea body shop it's 1500 damage. Then I'm sure he has at least some suspension gone from it.So car is pretty close to being totaled. But it looks like it would be great to buy back and make a drag car.As long as frame isn't bent or axle.

you guys seriously over pay for body work... Down in the caribbean where shells aren't available etc they fix everything.Even if the chassis was bent they would pull it back straight, reinforce it, the insurance company would write the car down as a write off and you would get full coverage on it and you could use the money to have that car back up on the road without any noticable handling differences. There are so many cars here that had head on collisions and just had the front cut off and a front cut welded back on in its place and you cannot even see where it was joined up. They still end up registering it and getting insurance coverage and it is back on the road like nothing happened at all. It doesn't look serious at all.

Imagine this is my friend's toyota levin and it recently just got back up and is driving on the road legally again...

I would check your insurance policy, some have uninsured motorist coverage. That way if they hit you and don't have any insurance, you are still covered. Personally, I only carry liability and uninsured motorist on my insurance policy.
