I want my retinted, but by the time I do it, it will be fall/winter lol...Maybe the tint shops will run specials because of the low demand?

I did mine 35%. That was legal for the state I bought mine in, but illegal for the state I live in. But the car was tagged in MD so the Tint guy did them to MD legal limit and gave me the lifetime warranty. I need to get some pics of it posted.

I think it depends a lot from the exterior color. The OB looks pretty col with 35%. White needs darker.

I think the previous owner tinted the windows, but they are too light for my taste. Especially in a black car. I'm seriously thinking about some of the Huper Optik or whichever block high amounts of heat.

i got mine done for $200... 15% on all windows. 10% on back window. 5% on windshield stripe. bean are you getting the special one?

I have Formula 1 Pinnicle, it's like a cheaper version of Huper Optick, and it blocks a lot of the heat. Also has a nice matte finish.

Tinting costs very by where you live and what type of tint you get. Normal non-metallic tint was $150.00 for my G, the Formula 1 Pinnacle with lifetime warranty was $250.00 and Huper Optick was $350.00.

IMO Ceramic is the way to go, it keeps my G much cooler than the non metallic stuff, and doesn't interfere with my GPS when my ball and chain is playing around with it in the middle of the car (my moms GST has metallic tint and it messes with the GPS signal and sometimes the radio reception. People debate if metallic messes with reception but my experience is it does)

Took me like a week. But I had to get them retinted. The past owner had a crappy tint job with bubbles and crap. Was a damn shame.

Go 15% all the way around... IT looks the best and if you get pulled... you just roll down both windows and no one will ever know!

thats what i do. but i would recommend 10% on the back glass.. maybe even five... but thats just me

Come on Bean. I did mine after about 2 weeks. Changed the look of the car big time especially since I have the 4 door. It was about $225 and I never even asked what the percentage was. He had about 5 different pieces of glass tinted and I picked the middle one. I think it is around 20-30%, no trouble seeing out and a little trouble seeing in but you still can.

Okay, it is cloudy here for 9 months out of the year, tint isn't a real high priority.

Because it's cloudy/dark more often than not, I only went as dark as 35%.

As stated above, and since the highest of high temps is like 100, I didn't want to shell out $395 for Huper Optik.

Paid $185 plus tax.

I am really happy with what I got. I went there and "tried on" many different tints. He would cut one foot strip off the roll and apply it, to give me an idea. The third one I tried on was the winner. I liked the AMG blue tint, but it was only 50%, and just not quite dark enough. I ended up getting a reflective black tint. It's not mirror, but does have some reflective qualities. It also blocks UV rays, and cuts out a small percentage of heat transfer.

no but the sun shines down on the back glass so much and you can see straight through it to the windshield. its not that dark. and i roll them down when i see them coming after me, or when i first spot them

Looks good! I've got even less - 45 to stay legal here.My son has some illegal tint on his Exploder and I didn't care for that dark or having to track down somebody to inspect it.

You know, I never noticed the NICO logo you got on your car before, is that etched or something? Cause I've never seen that sticker in the NICO Store, just the large windshield banner.

I had them made, and offered them for sale here in the G forums. It's an "etched glass" sticker.
