ON hot days my car gets no spark....when it's cooler out it's just fine........?

OK here's the problem. I have a 90 s13 with a sohc ka24e in it and just recently on hot days it decides to not get any spark. I changed the ignition coil last night and it seemed to have fixed the problem....... but then today when i go to start it once again no spark. I checked the plugs and they all seem good so i'm really stumped at this point. If anyone has had this same problem please let me know what it was.thanks-david-

I Had a similar issue on my KA DOHC and couldnt figure out the problem so, i got another used coil also it started the car at the moment but then after the heat got to it it died also, turns out the coils i was using were not working so i installed an MSD ignition coil and it ran fine no problems now... try it they arent that expensive and i believe is cheaper than getting the OEM one.

Hmm how much did the msd ignition coil cost you and where idd you get it from? .......Wow what a surprise now that it's dark out and cooler out the car starts right up like a champ....... i'm beyond angry with it.

mine does the same but in the opposite way. works fine when hot but hesitates when its cold.
