On acceleration my 1995 Infiniti Q45 sputters and makes a pop...pop noise before accelerating. Today after reading some articles on the site I cleaned my Air flow sensor and replaced my air filter. This helped but hasn't fully solved the problem. The car has over a 100,000 miles on it and I have owned it about a year. I have never changed the spark plugs. Do you think this could be the problem? An O2 sensor? Should I replace the coils? Any help would be appreciated. I use premium gas in the car as required.. I dont think the previous owner did ..if that helps? If I do need to replace the coils.. Is there an economical way to get the parts?

ThanksBrian

http://www.infinitipartsusa.com is the best place for parts.

A well maintained 100,000 mile G50 is barely broken in. Read the FSM, all of Q45tech's posts, and get ready to rememdy the deferred maintenance on your car before it is in an irreversible death spiral.

She sounds fuel starved. Is the CEL (check engine light) on? Any codes stored in the ECU? Since you didn't mention either I'd be checking fuel pressure.

Do you hear the fuel pump buzzing in the trunk? If so, it's time for replacement and possibly the FPCU will need replacing also.
