Wow. If you are asking these questions you shouldn't be driving a m/t car at all.
The engine was only designed to go to a certain rpm, the KA's limit is around 6500 rpm. By not shifting before then you will hit the rev limiter which does exactly what it was designed to do...limit the revs so people like you can't see how fast it will spin until it blows.
As for the transmission damage, high rpm isn't really going to damage the transmission, it's the shock you send through it via hitting the rev limiter that would do the most damage.
next time no one is around you and you are on a back road, hit the limiter in first gear just to see what it feels like and the jolts it is sending through your drivetrain. After that you will know not to do it again.
If your car was converted to m/t from a/t, then your ecu won't know what to limit the revs at, and yes then you can do severe damage to your engine from over revving it. Wherever it redlines is where it should hit the limiter, so if it doesn't hit it at redline stop revving it.
Finally, what business do you have revving your car until redline? I've only hit my limiter once, and it was because I was being stupid.
