ON A CALL when Not

Anyone else have this happen?

Twice now. i have gotten into the car and the radio/Bluetooth shows "on a call" and timer is running. I have had to take the battery out of my phone to hang it up.. no buttons work.. nothing...

thoughts?

sounds like a phone issue you may need to get the bluetooth upgraded a trip to the store and the tec's can do it in about 15 min. i know with verizon it was free because mine needed to be upgraded.

That has happened to me and I'm using a VZW BB 8830WE. Had to take out the battery as well but didn't have any issues since. That was about 6 months ago. Had to been my phone. I don't think it was the bluetooth on the coupe since it's only a "median" and you need the phone to actually make and recieve calls.

Happens with my iPhone 3G if I answer from the stearing wheel too quickly, sort of locked up radio thinking it's on a call. If you shut off the car and restart it it works fine again (for me). And it never happens if I answer the call from the phone itself.....I had a thread about it in the audio section (Bluetooth Problems or something like that)

I have seens this on the Iphone in my car, my BB Storm sometimes Brainfarts...but not battery pull yet,....I say yet, cause yinz with smart phones know they are not pull proof

Generally all bluetooth problems are generated by the phone - the car set only does what the phone tells it to do...bluetooth devices don't have the ability to "think" or make decisions without the main unit telling them to do so.

guys its the phones...the iphone has a update at at&t to stop this from happening verizon has one for the dare and they all have many phones with updated to stop the problems and make them work streaming good with no problems.

The iPhone gets its updates via iTunes....not the AT&T stores.

Oh, and if ya want the latest and greatest Storm Update go here....its still in beta but its the best so far!!! I think Verizon's getting ready to release this one as the next official update..or a release close to it.
