Does the oil pump work?

Is the oil cooler and or filter clogged?

Did you test every sensor and make sure it conforms with the specs in the service manual?

Did you read the service manual at all?

Did you overfil the transmission fluid?

Overfilling the transmission makes it run hot and cooks the transmission.

Sounds possible. If you miss that last click the pump might not be fully engaged. In either case it sounds like you have to pull that back out (I am so sorry I know how much that sucks, been there done that)

TPS check might help. :gotme

What happens when you shift from park,
Is there the feeling of torque engaging?
If not your hold pressure might be low....
Any Puddles?

When it starts in park it lunges forward a little and you can not get the motor to rev over 2k rpms like its in gear and park at the same time
has no reverse there are no puddles under it and i changed out the nuetral safty switch and still cant get it to give me any codes

You take big chances when going on the cheap sometimes ..That's my take.

yeah thats true but when a rebuild cost 2800 bucks and the car is worth say around 1500 you dont do it !! :tisk: you cross your fingers and hope for the best lol :yesnod

Not sure but I doubt SERIOUSLY Diamond was banned.

on the other hand;
Well , here i am .. I was banned litterally..i could only get back in because nico switched up and left me a hole .lol. Look at my last post and login under diamondj30 , then wonder why.........
I could personaly care less about politics, but NICO does have rules and your signature could get you in trouble again. You might think about inserting something car related and avoid political statements in your sig and posts before a mod hits the ban button again. Welcome back.

Isn't that the kind of talk that got you banned?

After all this is a Nissan/car forum so that talk doesn't really belong here. And plus Nico doesn't have many rules and like I said if you apologize for what every you did intentionally or not you may get your original account back. If not then keep low or move on.

Sorry you have to hear this from me.

I was sorry because you are a member of a Nissan club before I know how cars worked. And basically NICO originals don't like taking crap from newbies. I am not trying to be a dictator either I am just saying whats in the Terms Of Service, to protect you from another Ban hammer.

Plus some people now a days get mad about the dumbest things and sue people for the dumbest reasons. For instance I worked at Stop and Shop when I was 15 years old and I was a cashier. I was pretty stupid back then too and I saw a produce guy write "Produce GOD" on his name tag. So I wrote "Front end GOD" on mine and a guy buying groceries says "your a GOD", I say "no its a joke" the guy gets mad and cries to the manager and I get slapped on the wrist.

So there you have it I didn't know the rules back then but it was either get a new name tag or get fired for something stupid. So in your case you can suck it up and change your signature or see what the NICO staff does.

At the point when the car starts and lurches (it was somewhere before it all went to hell) it is in gear...and it doesn't know it. Honestly IDK where/what it could be but start with the basics but more likely than not it something directly related to the gear position. I have seen one guy once a while back put a trans in and misaligned the actual selector on the case and it wasn't right and he thought it was blown. Did you by chance adjust or have a problem with the linkage did you? I have actually put my car down on the shifter linkage
while it was hanging down and made a huge mess.

Crap happens go back to the beginning and check everything that would have control of gear position. Hopefully it is something simple like misadjusted linkage but it doesn't sound too electrical.

Will- gotcha, I was uninformed.

yeah i though about that to but i s*** it under neath b hand with out the likage on its was the same so took it to a transmission shop and they are saying that the forward clutches are fused to the shaft or something to that affect in short the transmission is junk  so i guess i will be pulling the transmission again :nutkick

Man I hate to hear that your trans is shot.

This type of repair and diagnosis is a lost artform. Is there a warranty on your trans? If not are you planning on getting it rebuilt? Do you still have two?

I have seen this type of thing all to commonly with recycled parts engines and transmissions are the worst things to gamble on. Although they are cheaper in the long run at some point you start to question just how much your time is worth.

First beers on me today man, I know just how bad that sucks
