So I was at the local Crappy tire store this week end and parked next to a Pathfinder.... I noticed something different (similar headlight housing like mine) but something was different.... I went up front... Looked and wanted to tear the car apart to get a better look at it and how he did it.... Looks like he coated the reflector with black paint and had that projector put in... I never got the chance to talk to the owner and i didnt have paper to get him to join the site let alone tell me how he got it done..... Bad a**.......

thats SOLID.

is it just me or are people total A-holes when you ask them something about their cars or compliment them. before i got my rims, etc i used to totally be pumped if i saw a nice pathy with something different on it and I used to try n small talk the owners, not once did i find someone nice enough to at least smile and say a nice word. You'd think someone who puts a decent set of rims or accessory on their ride will be proud of it and like to talk about it. frig.

I know that I was just trying to hijack his thread! I bet if he did find the guy he would be all weirded out that some dude is interested in his aftermarket lights. Maybe its some douche nozzle who bought the pathy off someone else and has no idea WTF Inno would be talking about. ....what. Ok. im just jealous, those look glorious.

i would have offered my head lights and another 100-200 on the spot for those... EASILY....

but yeah i totally know where Qxxx4 is coming from. I drive around and spot other R50's and the driver is either all up on my tail end trying to get my bumper, staring me down cuz my bars bigger or they just trying to race me.... If anyone ever asked me for stuff about my car I'd gladly talk to them and discuss and exchange ideas and such. Hey, its a new friend with similar interests!

Some people just want to be unique and dont want to share cuz after all... they want to be unique and the only one around with it. (selfish bastards)

one to two hundred is all custom work like that would be worth to you??

Looks very similar to a maxima oem projector, which if purchased legally, is quite spendy, plus the work of retrofitting them.

Our pathy's arn't all that hard to retrofit. theres tons of writeup online on how to do it, or contact a company like http://www.lightwerkz.net/ and let them know what you want.

btw, heres a pic of my IS300 just so you can get an idea of what exactly can be done.

you fitted in 02-03 q45 headlight things in there didn't you? I think those are one of the most high quality lights ive seen. They have those 7 mini like projector/led things.

They are Q45 projectors indeed! I must say though, in the high beam part of my light, I added BMW BI-xenon projectors, and use the low beam as my fog lights, since I don't have the factory fogs anymore. The Q45's look really cool, but they don't really give out enough light. Even the Q45 uses a second set of lights on the stock headlamp to provide enough light. kind of sucks but it looks cool.

BTW, if the owner of the pathy above went through all the trouble of opening the headlights, and side markers, he should of done it to the fog lights too.....IMO

yeah i might actually attempt this, this summer, but i want to keep my housing chrome, and also i would fit in like 1in or 1.5in projectors into our fog lights, and the work could be easily concealed cause its not a clear lens like the qx4 in the foglight, but would still look good probably

+1 ^

With the blacked-out background and plastic fake chrome bezel, it reminds me of my friends 2001 Hyundai Tiburon console vents...

Lol at 150+200.

Assuming he has proper projectors retrofitted coupled with those Apollo shrouds, it runs upwards of 600$ for that setup. Believe me it's worth it. I just bought an 03 SE PF came from an M-class, I needed xenon. How do people drive with halogen?
I just ordered my set from BlackFlameCustoms contact them or consult hidplanet forums for tailored services. It's a pretty penny but it is WORTH IT! Youtube "FX-R Retrofit"
