the took a girl's honda civic who uses her car for driving around with her grandma and dogs and put a ****ing wing and damn body kit on it? omg this is so damn dumb, racing strips for a girll not even remotely intrested in racing?.. to her a car is transprtation!!!!

yes I do believe they have to apply. You make it sound like she would hate it, but infact have u watched it? She LOVES it. I mean c'mon she was so happy she started cryin(both when she first found out they wer going to do her car and after she gets it back).

I knew someone was gonna twist it like that. She cried cus she was happy, trust me if you'd seen this car at first you wouldda been thrilled to have ANYTHING (other than crushing it) done to spruce it up. They don't do anything to nice or even questionablt nice cars, just run down end of the line beaters and give them a new lease on life.

I hate that show with a passion.

They take a ****ty car, throw on some paint, wheels and extra weight (excessive audio and useless body modification). Then the person walks into the room to see their new and improved still ****ty car.

I dont understand how those guys are like big names in california. When they played the video showing all their "custom" cars, all I saw was regular cars rich people buy with big disgusting chrome rims on them.

They need a show like "Pimp Blake's Ride."Let's see, throw an RB30DETT into a nice S13 'vert with some secksi mesh wheels and an S13 front end and I'd be content.

The thing that bother me the most about the show is that they don't do hardly anything mechanical to the car. However, that civic was the first one I have seen them put an intake on lol.

you see, you guys are more into performance.

allot of people are into just the looks. i think its a coo show cause those people with crap cars get a new paint job and some other things.

both of my cars could use paint job. :P but not one of those kind of paint jobs. i just need to repaint'em black

hey i applied for that show... but they didnt pick me.. i guess i wasnt tv worthy enough... they supposidly dump 20k into each car, but even after the interior and exterior.. thats only like... 8-10k... im kinda glad they didnt pick me, because pimp to me is a scca solo2 car, and not booming sound sytem with oversized chromy rims...

i dont mind that they are not into the performance thing but i think its funny that they dont atleast fix the engine up to make sure its running good and strong cuz after the way those cars looked before hand you know those engines could not have been treated well and prolly will die in a short period of time. so then youve got a car with $20k worth of mods that doesnt run

after watching that show twice, i've seen them put hella APC **** on the cars they "pimp". west coast customs should put more thought in their work. if their gonna spend 20 g's on the car, they should better quality parts, other than APC.

"West Coast Customs"?? More like "West Coast Big Chrome Wheel Installers" Im gonna open up a shop in my Garage Called "Middle of No Where Customs" and have rappers ship there cars to me so I can bolt some wheels on it for them. Thats total custom.... BTW did anyone see the wing they had on the Civic? It was adjustable and had a Controller in the dash so you can adjust the angle of the deck. I thought that was pretty nifty(the wing not the Piece o' crap). I seen some REAL race cars at Mid-Ohio(road course) that had those.. These cars were of course Track only Lotus's and Porschs and the etc.. Not some mid 20's girl's 93 4 door Civic............ That 90Fwhp 3600lb Sedan must have needed some serious downforce and aerodynamics HAHAHAHA

That's why after they throw all that crap on it you sell the stuff on e-bay and build the car the way you want it

Did you guys see Tuner transformation 2 weeks ago. They took a 89 240SX and totally tricked it out , 5 lug conversion, s13 wide body kit, Coilovers, SR20DET. Killer rims and tires, Custom paint. And when the guy got it back he was like " Oh, I guess this is nice" He was almost like bummin' ... What an ingrate.

I wouldn't be caught dead in any of their creations either, but remember the name of the show is "pimp" my ride, not "soup-up"my ride, or "restore as original" my ride. I thought some of the stuff they did was amusing because it was so far over the top for styling. I agree that it seems stupid to put $20,000 worth of gimmicks into $1500 cars without addressing the engines and then handing these customized creations back to the owners that proved they can't afford to maintain them in the first place.

acualy the guy from tuner was a guy in the club240 forums.. he acualy did alot of the work prehand, and all they did was just swap in the motor and give it a paint job, and he let them claim they did all the work.. he didnt like that he had to pay for what they did anyways..
