Download and install. It is a free trial. 30 days, but it is a full version for 30 days. I have a friend who had similar problems to yours. He ran Kaspersky once, and his **** is fixed.

Totally works. I had that nasty little bugger a while ago and that took care of it.

Now go buy yourself a Mac.

Would have to agree... Spybot takes care of almost any spyware. With AVG Free also installed, you'll most likely never catch a thing.

I use both of those software and I've never had any problems of spyware. You might also want to download a malware removal tool to get rid of any malicous bugs while you're at it

AVAST Home edition, completely free. Self updating and was the first antivirus available for vista. Works great.

Works decent, but is as heavy as a 60's Buick. Hope you don't plan on using the PC when it is running.

yes it is resource heavy during an active scan but i have really never needed it to do one, i just have it monitor the internet and any downloads. very light on that end.
