Sounds like your mechanic is taking you to the cleaners and doesn't really know whats wrong.WESIDA wrote:so as some of you know my 240sx went bad. i've been fixin it for 2 month now and everyday i think iam gonna get it back. first the mechanic tell ms the valve is leaking and there is a crack in the head so i get anew rebuilt along with a whole new timing kit and we fixed that. then he founds out injectors were bad so i was like ok i get that and fix it. then the dam fan thing doesnt turn so i get hat too . right when i though iam gonna get it back the MAFS goes bad and i had to order that again and put it on. notice every thing i order takes about at least a week to get to my hosue and give it to friend mechanic. so now i go and i find out the godam spark plug wires are bad so i get new ones for 75 thats another cool ownage. we put them on and ooo what a surprise the car is still shaking and sounds like theres a nice leak, its like nothing has been done to itthe guy said its not the HEAD it must be one of the senosors or vacumm. maan omg dude i feel like crying. he said its prbly not the Oxygen sensor. you guys have any idea what it could be?? so i can get ready for the next part that i can order after this (saracsitically). dude all i want is just my 240 this is the most bs i ever have with a carpeace
thanks man
ya yesterday my heart was set on getting an SR. but then again this new problem might not be something bad ih ope not. that engine is pretty strong, even though it only has 155hp. with my straight pipe maybe a little more. i tried to go start it at the shop yesterday night, it starts fine but then it starts to die and choke, i pump the gas untill it gets back up and from there its strong, but then it becaome weak or/and dies again. we'll see what happens, i'll update laterdfw240_EE wrote:Or pull the KA and try and rebuild it, if you think you can. The SR is great, but the KA can also be a devil of a motor too.
But at this point, SR will be cheaper.
so if its bad then prbly the fuel pump?fatboy wrote:check fuel pressure
well if fuel pressure isnt good enough, you've got a clooged filter or a pump. ****, ive even seen fuel lines thats gotten trashed that made the car have low fuel pressureWESIDA wrote: so if its bad then prbly the fuel pump?
the guy said the pump is working good, nothing is worng with it. so he said it could be the fuel regulator. usually it should run at around 45-47 psi, but if it ran at about 35 or 25 it would do what i has now. it seems like the engine is getting too much fuel. because when we hold down the tube for the fuel (so not alot of fuel can go). the car starts to act real good and smooth.so prbly too much fuel is going in. thats why we think its the regulator. we will see. he also said the computer might be bad, but if after the regulator there is no luck. then iam heading straight to nissanfatboy wrote:well if fuel pressure isnt good enough, you've got a clooged filter or a pump. ****, ive even seen fuel lines thats gotten trashed that made the car have low fuel pressure
