I just came back from a lube n go.I pull up hop out go inside I ask if they do transmission fluid changes. They told me $70 so I'm like cool. Then they say we dont have the filter for that car.So i'm like ok no prob I'll just hit up auto zone and get 1.Then they said we dont work on cars like those. So i said car like what?Anyway I left guy never seen a Q before. On my way home I'm thinking what a retart a ATF fluid change is not that hard and is basically almost the same on every car.You drain the damn fluid then drop the damn pan, clean the damn pan,get the gasket put it on attach the pan add fluid.wtf is so hard if thats what you do for a livin then it should be no prob correct?I guess this poor place was scared to touch the Q.I guess i'm kinda happy that there not touching it.Atleast they kinda told me straight out that there not comfortable with the Q.The dealer here is a thief so screw that place. He charges alot for anything I guess its because they give you a new Infiniti while they doctor yours.I guess its time to invest in a good torque wrench

Circuit City didn't want to work on my sound system because I had wood trim.

Well, most on this board would not regard that as an ATF fluid exchange as so much is left in the TC by just draining.

One must be prepared with the gasket, filter, one time use bolts, and appropriate fluid unless you know for sure the shop has such.

I was thinking the same thing.

Spend the extra $$ now to do a "full fluid swap" to save the life (& your $$) of your transmission later.

I wasn't to suprised that they didnt have my filter.I thought it was funny that they wouldn't touch the car.I'm also aware that when you drain and drop the pan you don't get 100% out.How can you drain all the fluid?

There is a pump/vacume device that is hooked up I believe. It either flushes new fluid through the whole system or sucks the old stuff out. Im not 100% sure.

thx for the inputI went to another lube place and asked if I give them the gasket and filter if they could change it out. They also told me they wont touch the Q and said if I pay them $50 extra they would with no warranty.Screw that!Looks like I might need to go to my evil thief dealer for this one,or try myself which I really dont feel like touching my trany.
