OMG just signed paper for a '09 EX35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Wow... still can't believe we signed the paper and bought the car ! We kept the sales manager and a few other folks in the shop till 10:45pm by the time we're all done the paperwork!

Anyway, I've been quietly reading this forum for about a year now, and finally turned in to the Infiniti family I think this is only my 2nd post here ...

I'm from Canada, so I'm sure this car will help out our family a lot during all the crazy weathers.

I'll post some pic later this weekend, taking delivery Saturday...

It is a white EX35, all options except for the Technology Package. Because I want to add the US Spec Aero package later on... so I didn't got the Intelligence Cruise Control.

Can't wait to start driving the car !

one other question.......... anyone ever try fitting a 16" wheel on the EX?

we got a spare set of 16" snow tires & steelies , wondering if we can make use of it at winter, since it's still got lots of tread left

thanks!

The 16'' wheels should be fine as long as they're the right lug pattern and fit otherwise. You'll have to run taller profile tires, but that's not a bad thing.

thanks for the welcome !

yea, I guess I'll have to physically try the 16" wheel and see if it fits on the car

it's not running on big tires, they're just 215/55/16 if I remembered correctly. It was just for a normal sized sedan earlier.

NewbieEX,

Thanks for the info. Talk to you later.

Please share with us how you like the 09. Did you ever drive the 08? Can you compare them? Are they pretty much the same?

Don't foget to get your XM.

Yea, can't wait till Saturday gonna be a long wait till the weekend. I'll post pic & more writeup about it then.

Looks like I only getting 3 months of XM, I don't think it comes with any longer free subscription here in Canada.

"Basic monthly subscription required and sold separately after trial period"

I'm not sure if XM NavTraffic works in my city yet, only in big ones like Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal ... we'll see.

No, we haven't test drove the '08 before... only sat in the showroom floor model last year, interior feels just like the same sitting in. But I test drove the '09 yesterday, it was a very nice and solid ride.

The sport shift feels slightly quicker response than my friend's '07 G35x auto (new face), but there's still a good amount of delay time between shifts.

In case anyone wonders... this 'delay time' is just the same on the FX35 paddle shift... I test drove that car too yesterday.
