Last week, i was goin to the dealer for the third time, ready to pay. And to my excitement...my heart stopped, after i found out i couldnt buy WHITE casue im not buying the premium package. The sales person said white was available and he didnt kno that premium was needed to buy white. I was so disapointed and i did not want to buy a 3.5 with premium for 40grand after tax and everything...

so now i checked in the states, it cost around 30 grand canadian for me to drive it in canada (this number includes tax and importing tax)

ALso i could buy white without premium, and if i buy premium i only add 3300 canada (3200US)...in the end which ever model, premium or not i save 5 grand...

But the thing is i have to wait til the canadian import updates there US admissability chart! Cuase the altima coupe is too new they dont have information on it, so right now its currently unadmissable, but im pretty sure it will be admissible since 90% of the nissans were aloud to be imported (2000 and up not a single car was unadmissable)

I hope the stupid import people would find out soon if i can import it or not, cause im dying to get a new car!! and by the time they update it, i have to wait a while to order the model and color i want! ><

I think one of the only things you might have to do is add on day time running lights to have it cleared into canada. I was looking at getting a coupe over from the states cuz the saving are huge but decided to forget about the headache, I heard they're trying to make it pretty hard for us Canadians to import, some car companies in general have made it so the dealers will not even sell to us. If you go to Drivingtelevision.com they have a series of episods that discuss Importing from the states. I watched them all when I was thiking about buying cross the border. Any how good luck!
