ok, i'm a little confused about a few things.

1: i already did a search and that's why i'm so confused. 2: i did my research months ago, go to the local Canadian Tire to look for these plugs and they didn't exist.

ok, here's what i wrote down:NGK BCPR6ES II or BCPR6E II for running less than 14psiNGK BCPR7ES or BCP7EVX (platinum) for running more than 14 psi

stock plug gap 1.1mm or 0.8mm for running > 14psi. 0.7mm when running platinum plugs

i didn't find them. at ALL. Now i did see some BPR6ES plugs. no 'C' not to mention there were NGKs, NGK V-groove, NGK platinum, and NGK iridium type plugs. i was in the store a good 20 minutes debating to myself if i had found the right ones.

so i be prudent, go home empty handed, and look it up again. all i find here is right in the FAQ - PFR6A plugs are stock, but i am looking for one heat range cooler.

first of all, i need to know what car i'm asking they're for. the 200sx turbo CA18ET or (very doubtful) the pulsar nx 1.8L? or is it something completely different?

i'd like to know what part # matches which style of plug?NGK PFR6A - (stock what?)NGK BCPR6ES II - i've been lead to believe these are regular copper plugsNGK BCPR7ES - one heat range cooler plug version of the 6ES II (are they copper too?)NGK BCP7EVX - one heat range cooler and platinum which ones are the iridium?which ones are the v-power?

but is that information correct? none of the ones that started in BCP were on the rack there. are BPR6ES's the same as BCP6ES? where does the PFR come in?

please help!

CA18ET (exhaust side) 1988 200sx are stock plugs... I believe they are NGK PFR6A-11

I have also used BCP6ES11 as well.

just ask for the 200sx ones in a colder heat range. get the most basic NGK plug you can find... I think I pay under $2/plug.

If you want cooler plugs, get yourself a set of a 1990-1996 NIssan 300zx twinturbo, these are the ones that I am using, a bit pricey they are about $16 Canadian a piece, but they work awesome.

getting the colder ones may require having napa or autozone order them... I used some denso that matched a part number search after I gave them the NGK part numbers in the faq.

haha damn, it didn't even come up in the search for spark plugs in the CA forum, that sucks.

anyway, thanks for the help guys. sparkplugs.com is a very informative site. i spent a good part of the evening learning about our plugs.

1: the PFR6A 11 is a platinum plug, with a 14mm thread size, 19mm(3/4") thread reach and 16mm(5/8") hex.

2: they're resistor plugs, and are projected insulator type.

in short, they're a pretty generic size and shape.

when i looked up the 90 300ZX TT plugs on the site, i had many hits, but none for NGK, which sucked. but it does give me a wider range of choice.

but given the NGK charts, and the thread reach and type of plug, i've determined that even the v-grooved platinum TR5 1VX would fit, and you just change the plug gap. i might suggest a heat range colder like TR6 or TR7, depending on whether or not you get fouling with the 7's.

That's a hotter plug. For NGK hotter is lower number, colder is higher number. At .9 bar I needed a 7 step plug, so I used BCPR7ES-11. Don't mess with the gap. Stock turbo=BCPR6ES-11. There's nothing complicated about it. You can find these plugs at autozone, kragen, sparkplugs.com, etc. These plugs work great.

Sounds like you've got it. Maybe you couldn't find the plugs because you were searching for a gap of "II" when it's actually "11", as in 11 tenths of a millimeter, 1.1mm.
