please bestow upon me your knowledge of motor design!

after reading your comments on port angles I JUST WANT TO KNOW MORE. fluid dynamics baffle me and i dont have an auto tech teacher that really knows anything about it.

tell me all about your setup and what makes it tick! i want to understand why one design is better than another!

your lowered motor amazes me!

tell me how standalone management works, besides the obvious controlling of air, spark and fuel! i want to know when, why, how and what difference it makes!

DeviousKA, tell me what you know!

and dammit man, too bad you live a millon miles away. i would have liked to see your car in action,

Haha, Um, well.

There is much more to learn than what I could tell you about resonance and harmonics. The theory is quite extensive and complex. Ill see what i can dig up for you as far as reading material.

All of my work and research has been very specific to the particular build, many of course. Its hard to offer much of an answer without a question.

Better is somewhat of a meaninless word in the realm of engine/intake/exhaust theory and design. Variables can be manipulated almost infinitely to produce different results in different ranges of use. It is best to first have some sort of idea of what you are after, with what is available to you. Some copying of other designs becomes key and also teaches you at same time.

Standalone management is simply electronic fuel injection that provides adjustment in real time of all fuel injection/ignition parameters and others. It allows the tuner to dial in the most efficient control settings for their engine ("efficient" for most, meaning most effcient way to make HP with heat in concideration, not necessarily efficient at burning fuel). Necessary for any modified efi engine to make the most hp is a properly setup ecu, do some reading on the subject online.

Id be glad to answer any specific questions you might have about ka design, but get some first, .
