So I finally had some time to play. I went to titan motorsports and picked up some 220 FAL flex-o-lite fans. the removal of those ****ty clutch fans and addition of high powered fans is amazing. I was standing next to my car after install and it felt like the AC was on in my house in the middle of the summer. hell the AC in my car isnt that cool. Much livin'

I also added a walbro fuel pump....... first of all the write ups said I was going to have gas everywhere? I must have done something wrong as I got more dirty and gas on me installing the flex fans. the ugly idle I usually experience when I first started my car is GONE and the shifts and power band are so smooth.....

so Ive been a slacker and havent had the time to do it. I wish I had done it sooner. def worth every penny.

tomorrow I will be install the sparco CF pedals I got....... my car needed some interior loving for once too

time FMIC and injectors from touge are next on the list.......... then it is on to the suspension.

will post picks tomorrow

PS any idea what is going on with the coil pack covers? Im about ready to have my BF start cutting and making me one well he sits on hist butt at work

Congrats! Glad to hear the car is running better now!

With that walbro, you might need to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator though, as sometimes it overpowers the stock unit.

Outstanding. It is always good to hear about someone making progress with their project rather than hearing about all of the issues that crop up on the boards. And we are waiting for the pix............

lol yall are more confusing that trying to understand steven hawkins under water.

Dee tells me the stock FPR is good for 500hp and that the aftermarket ones are not real expensive when they are in stock form...... I asked after reading your write up.

I is

got new camera for xmas so Will be loading some pics later. Installed my trust counter weighted Shift knob...... which too longer than installing the FP....... was nissan on crack when they decided lock tight was a good idea?

now Im in the process of figuring out fuel for the 444 injectors that should be here soon. then going to have my BF cut some pipe at work so we can do the FMIC........

PS do I have to run a new MAFS when changing the injectors...... looking for a RELIABLE 12PSI. what other support mods might I need to add?

PPS I do very much like hearing about people making progress instead of hearing about things blowing up...... specially when it is my car

You may have a problem with the stock regulator. Mine was fine for a year with the walbro. If it does give you trouble, get the Nissan one. Most of the other regulators are crap.

No, you just need to tune the ECU for the new injectors via a ROM tune or SAFC. Other than that, you sound like you've got it sorted out. You might run into fuel cut with the stock MAFS, but I doubt it.

IDK, it's the same as the SR/KA/S13/S14 one.

pretty sure you may have boost cut. I have to tune my ecu and get bigger maf after installing the fmic and z32 fp. im gettin boost cut when i full throttle in 3rd+. Thats only with a sr t25 at 11lbs on stock wastegate setting

I know of rom tunes and basicly it is a plug in to a socket........ how exactly does it work. I know how the SAFC works, but they arent my favorite... I would much rather spend the extra money and go Power FC than ever consider running only a SAFC.

potential for boost cut with the stock MAF? I was debating ordering the hard suction pipe from APEXi with the Z32 MAF...... sounds like it is another toy to add to the list.

need to start investing in other things beyond motor works, but it is just so dam fun.

The stock spring is 7psi, not 11psi. If you're getting 11 w/o a boost controller, you've got something wrong.

A ROM tune changes the values in the ECU to compensate for the changes in injectors, mafs, etc. I am working at a freinds shop not part time and he's got a ROM burner, so I can start doing BASIC (injectors and MAFS)ROM tunes for people. IDK what pricing is going to be like yet. Email me if you're interested.

That's what I was saying. The stock unit can't allow enough fuel to pass back into the tank and the fuel pressure goes up, causing the engine to run rich.

you should be ok with 12 psi as stock 10 psi. there is a slight possibitly may hit fuel cut on a cold day but for the most part you should be ok. you can get a reliable 12 psi without going with a new MAF and injectors.

I am running 15psi. mods listed in my sig. stock injectors and such. would estimate about 230hp give or take. what kind of power are you looking for?
