lol yall are more confusing that trying to understand steven hawkins under water.float_6969 wrote:Congrats! Glad to hear the car is running better now!
With that walbro, you might need to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator though, as sometimes it overpowers the stock unit.
You may have a problem with the stock regulator. Mine was fine for a year with the walbro. If it does give you trouble, get the Nissan one. Most of the other regulators are crap.ca18detgabby wrote:Dee tells me the stock FPR is good for 500hp and that the aftermarket ones are not real expensive when they are in stock form...... I asked after reading your write up.
No, you just need to tune the ECU for the new injectors via a ROM tune or SAFC. Other than that, you sound like you've got it sorted out. You might run into fuel cut with the stock MAFS, but I doubt it.ca18detgabby wrote:PS do I have to run a new MAFS when changing the injectors...... looking for a RELIABLE 12PSI. what other support mods might I need to add?
IDK, it's the same as the SR/KA/S13/S14 one.ri120 wrote:just out of curiosity, what was the part number on the walbro fuel pump. i think i need to get one. thanks ryan
The stock spring is 7psi, not 11psi. If you're getting 11 w/o a boost controller, you've got something wrong.jey_253 wrote: Thats only with a sr t25 at 11lbs on stock wastegate setting
A ROM tune changes the values in the ECU to compensate for the changes in injectors, mafs, etc. I am working at a freinds shop not part time and he's got a ROM burner, so I can start doing BASIC (injectors and MAFS)ROM tunes for people. IDK what pricing is going to be like yet. Email me if you're interested.ca18detgabby wrote:I know of rom tunes and basicly it is a plug in to a socket........ how exactly does it work. I know how the SAFC works, but they arent my favorite... I would much rather spend the extra money and go Power FC than ever consider running only a SAFC.
potential for boost cut with the stock MAF? I was debating ordering the hard suction pipe from APEXi with the Z32 MAF...... sounds like it is another toy to add to the list.
need to start investing in other things beyond motor works, but it is just so dam fun.
or it runs rich as crap like my buddiesfloat_6969 wrote:Congrats! Glad to hear the car is running better now!

That's what I was saying. The stock unit can't allow enough fuel to pass back into the tank and the fuel pressure goes up, causing the engine to run rich.
