Omfg !!!!!!!! Hahah Update On Ca Install

WELL .. ITS 5:30 AM IM A LIL BUZZED FROM MY CELEBRATION SHOTS BUT I STARTED AT 5PM ON TUESDAY CUZ MY TURBO CAME IN .. I DID THE WIRING THE OTHER DAY AND I THINK ITS A PEICE OF CAKE .. TO ME WAS ALOT EASIER THEN MOST HONDAS IVE DONE .. SO I WAS CONFIDENT ABOUT IT .. WELL .. WE DROPPED IT IN CONNECTED ALMOST EVERTHING .. JUST WANTED TO START IT UP .. WELL .. I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE TURBO PIPING AND I CANT FIND DECENT PICS OF IT .. SAW A FEW AND GOT A DECENT IDEA .. STILL NEED TO DO THE VACUUM LINES I ALSO HAD TO MAKE MY OWN WATERLINE TO THE TURBO ON THE BLOCK SIDE .. MY O2 HOUSING (SS CHROME DUAL) NEEDS TO BE DENTED A LIL .. HITTING THE STEERING... AFTER WE GOT IT ALL HOOKED UP I TOLD MY FREIND TO CRANK IT .. NOTHING HAPPENED ... MAN I WAS FUSTRATED THOUGHT MY WIRING WAS WRONG .. TOOK A BREAK DRANK A BEER AND KEPT TELLING MY FREIND TO HIT THE SWITCH .. EVERYTHING WORKS ... BUT CAR DIDNT CRANK .. SO I GO BELOW THE CAR AND SURE ENOUGH THE GROUND WIRE TO THE STARTER UNPLUGED DURING INSTALL .. MAN IT STARTED UP ON FIRST CRANK :ylsuper I LET IT IDLE .. WELL WAS HAVING TROUBLE AT FIRST BUT ONCE IT STARTED UP AND ALL THE OIL AND WATER WENT THROUGH AND IT GOT WARM ... IDLES OK .. JUST NEED TO DO THE VACUUM LINES .. MY PIPING IS AWFUL .. ALL RIGGED FOR THE NIGHT .. I HIT THE THROTTLE AND ONE OF THE PIPES MY FREIND TIGHTENED BLEW UP .. WAS COOL HAH JUST RETIGHTENED IT .. AND THE BLITZ BOV I GOT SOUNDS COOL GOD IM SO HAPPY NOW ... DRINKS ON ME GUYS AND DEE THANKS FOR HELPING ME OUT ... MY BABY LIVES .. IMA DO THE VACUUMS WHEN I GET UP.. AND TRY TO GET A SHOP TO WELD MY 3"MUFFLER ON ... GREAT DAY GREAT!!! DAY!!!!

sorry about the caps .. was buzzed .. lol anyways .. yeah engine has power i took it out today and man what a difference .. cept my custom water line to the turbo didnt last long and i lost all my coolant .. good thing it was near home .. so i gotta figure out to make a line to turbo that wont leak .. heh .. other then that i need a clutch .. this one is a lil weak .. not that too bad tho .. im really happy with it .. if anyone has a sohc KA this upgrade is definetly worth it ... im not gonna rush into it much im used to not having my car .. so im gonna try and get me a good radiator.. i did notice i think im going to have recirc. the bov .. seems to be messing with the maf .. all these things ill work out .. for now .. anyone got an idea on what to use for a water line?? or know where i can get a good upgrade cheap? thanks

Just like I told you in the email, if you really want a water line I'll send you one. But I recommend blocking it off and enjoying yourself. The water lines are a PITA and are one of the main contributors of the turbos crapping (Hot and cold+old cartridge=smoke).

i went to the hardware store and made a line .. im gonna see how hard it is to to it now that the engine is in .. if its too much of a hassle ... i may just block them off ... thanks again dee .. your the man ... ima take pics in a bit of my car and the engine .. then ill uplaod them hopefully by tonite ..

ok .. im done ... just blocked off the lines .. no more water leak .. and the temps are ok .. my tach doesnt work anymore tho .. is it cuz mine was a sohc before?? dunno maybe it just gave out or my wiring needs to be checked again .. anyways .. the engine is kinda weak .. compression is fine and no smoke at all .. just doesnt wanna move ?? what do u think the problem is ? maybe the spark plugs suck? or the gap needs to be higher/lower?? i gaped them at 1mm before .. and tried to go up a lil to like 1.3mm ... the car just kinda bogs .. dunno if im not getting enough fuel or something .. dunno im going to search now .. still getting cam drivers .. so ill get pics later tonite up ..

Keep in mind it is a low compression 1.8L engine off boost. My SR feels pretty darn sluggish off boost compared to even the stock KA, and it's got 200cc's on a CA.

Once the boost hits it should pull pretty good though.

no that part i understand .. used to drive my freinds turbo civic alot .. this one like just feels like the timing is off ... when the car warms up it runs a lil better .. but still slugish i have to get the boost way up to move the car around .. hmm i dunno im still searching heh

hah ... must be all that liquor i drank last night .. cuz i went out now to take a few pics and it runs fine .. took it for a lil ride and ran perfect .. well as perfect as i think it should .. no bogg nothing .. i think earlier when i was adding water to radiator i must of wet some wiring .. cuz it runs strong now .. im so happy this is over with .. now i can use my car finally .. .. thanks all for your opinions and such ... thanks dee for your help .. very gratefull for that .. as for pics as soon i get these damn drivers uploaded ill upload them to members rides and post it .. thanks all
