OME hood

does anyone know the actual weight of the hood on the 03's? i found what id consider a dirt cheap CF one, but are they really even that much lighter than what the stock aluminum is?

I'd be interested to hear the weight on both, I believe the CF is heavier, the stock Z32 hood is 18 lbs, no one ever posted the CF weight

It depends on the quality of the hood. a good quality cf hood will weigh less but a cheapo one will weigh more

most aftermarket pieces are CF overlay on fiberglass or steel frames, a turly lightweight CF panel would have no frame and would mount with hoodpins but wouldn't be practical for a street driven car
