I think some of the US gymnasts are over 20 this time. That way you won't feel as guilty when you check them out....

The olympics suck. They show everything during the day. WTF most people that can watch shows during the day arent going to buy **** that they are advertising. Most people are at work. Then when you come home, its Gymnastics and Swimming. I want to see Jude and TKD. I actually understand these two sports better than the teary eyed crap that we are spoon fed during the Olympics.

Paul Hamm did very well and won all around Olympic gold. Congrats to him for be'n the first US male and Carly Patterson,the second US woman to win the all around Olympic gold too.

Yeah he came back from 12th place in the 4th event(theres 6) and by the smallest margin in olypic history(I think) Does anyone know where to find the medal totals for each country?

Michael Phelps' come from behind win in the 100 Meter Butterfly was pretty intense. I can't say I'm much of a swim fan, but any competition that is down to the wire is always fun. He beat out Crocker by .04 seconds after he was nearly a full body length behind at the turn.

Carly so deserves that medal. I'm so glad she beat Svetlana. I tell you, I was never a fan of gymnastics at all till my gf dragged me to the 2003 world championships. They made a fan out of me! I learned that you can always spot a noob spectator at these events. The first 10 minutes, while everyone else is quietly oohing and aahing, noobs are loudly exclaiming, "HOLY CRAP," "DID YOU SEE THAT?", and "DOESN'T THAT HURT?"

I still do that. I still think the most memorable finish was maybe the last olymipcs or maybe the one before. I can't remember. And I can't remeber the girl's name either. But it came down to her for the last points needed for the US to win the team competition. She had an injured ankle. She stuck the vault landing perfectly. We won the gold.

I suspect it's that way because more prime time viewers would rather watch young girls in amazing shape in bathing suits and tight outfits than sweaty guys in gie's beating the crap outta each other. I actually kinda enjoyed the female beach volleyball (ahem). Might have to set the ol' VCR's timer to catch TKD.

Also, primetime covers more sports that the U.S. is dominant in. You don't see badmitton at 9pm during the week, do you?

However, Bud, Judo was on the other day on Bravo. I watched the Women's heavyweight Judo for the gold. They are some beastly girls! I sure as hell wouldn't want to fight them.
