I dont know the full circumstances of the accident, but prison for an accident seems excessive.

too bad I'm not a prison guard...oops I mean damn that's unfortunate she killed some guy. Didn't Halle Berry pull something like this and get away with a slap on the wrist?

I was gonna say 90 days is the lightest sentence Ive heard of for killing someone. She must have had some blame, maybe she was putting on makeup in the mirror and thought the sidewalk was the HOV lane.Probably the only prisoner with Olympic bling! Thats gotta be worth a few cartons of smokes...

didn't say what her role was. didn't give details. 90 days could be a lot if she just lost control and hit the guy and it was an accident. but if she was drunk and driving on a suspended license and hit and ran, then 90 days would be very short. *shrugs*not a lot of info to go on there.

See post above. The charge is *vehicular manslaughter*...right up there next to murder. She pleaded no contest, which, legally, is a nice way of saying "Guilty, your honor."

I love our legal system.

She commited a crime, killed someone, and is allowed to finish out the Olympic games before starting her sentence. Ridiculous.

Here's more...

"(CBS) A key member of the U.S. synchronized swimming team, Tammy Crow, was in a fatal car crash in February 2003.

After staying up almost all night, she skidded off a mountain road and crashed into a tree.

Tammy's two passengers died: her boyfriend, Cody Tatro, and a 12-year-old boy, Brett Slinger.

Tammy was charged with vehicular manslaughter and sentenced to 3 months of prison, to be served after the Olympics.

But despite controversy and questions about whether she deserved to represent her country, Tammy's teammates stood by her. "
