I just picked up an OLD OLD afc to get my motor to a drivable tune but i got some questions. Anyone have a manual for this thing? Its the single dial one. I need to know how to wire it, and if anyone has an idea on how to tune it let me know so i dont have to spend hours driving to figure it out.

Haha, oh damn. The manual was probably written on papyrus so I don't know if you'll find it online.

I have one of those relics in my Laurel, I'm pretty sure it was wired using the five-dial manual as a guide. As far as tuning goes do you need more fuel or less because that is all it will do.

less I put in 460cc injectors and a masive t3/t04e turbo so i kinda gotta get em balanced . Is the single dial just a general tune across the whole band or is there a way to choose rpm points?

sounds like pretty crude fuel management... if its an option maybe you should ebay it and save a few pennies to get a newer one that might work a little better... or that you at least have the wiring code/instructions for. Rebuilding your motor is gonna be more expensive than getting a different fuel management option.I am familiar with those old one knob ones but the only people that I know that have ever ran them are using their stock injectors on tuned NA motors and just use them to rich/lean out the powerband a little. If I remember right they can't even do the +/- 50% that the newer ones can, I want to say its closer to 15%... I fully suppor the "run whatcha brung" notion, but there somes a point where you gotta say "spending $150 now sure beats $500, a month wait, and having to pull the motor"

having said that you sound determined, if youre gonna run it anyway I'd say email or call your US apex'i rep and beg and plead and be prepared to send them a few dollars, if they have it. I'd suspect its probably going to be in japanese if you can get your hands on one though.

Well right now, when i hit 4 lbs of boost, the car stumbles and when i let off it just blows one hell of a flame. Im just trying to make it drivable so i dont care if its tuned perfect i jsut want to see it hit full boost . I know the problem is not boost leak because i have tested it 1000 times. I just need to get it to cut some of the fuel from the big injectors.
