Ah....if only we had known in the mid 80's and bought all the big ones.....how rich we'd be having sold the names to walmart and such. *shurg* No such luck.

my dad tried doing that in the early nineties, but he had to learn binary code or something like that so after a while he gave up. i could have a skyline today

Actually, in the mid to late 90's, they started ruling in favor of the companies whose names had been bought. The "squatter" was allowed all to re-coup all direct costs and a small stipend, but no more huge fees. Well, except for the lawyers.
