Older rack and pinions?
HI, everyone. I recently purchased a 1994 Infiniti Q45A with 140K mileage from Florida, and drove it back to Maryland where I live. Car looks great but failed the federal inspection needed to register it because of a few problems (tiny hole in windshield right below rear view mirror, tires, brake pads, broken wheel lock nut.) The biggest problem I gotta fix is probably the rack and pinion, so I just wanted to know if anyone knew of a few sites or the best way to go about getting an affordable good quality one. Sorry if noob question although technically I am a newbie at this.

Congratulations and welcome to our club.
Most questions like this concerning operational maintenance are in the Infiniti Online Mechanic Forum.
Try a search on steering rack, in particular on posts by irax here in the Q45 Forum and there in general under steering rack.
If you post in IOM Forum, be sure to include your symptoms and any maintenance history you have, including the dealer performed maintenance history. Do not neglect PS fluid condition and last change.
