Manufactured 5/06 - Versa Hatchback, Manual, power package. Bought 08/06
Tire pressure light came on at app. 200 miles, dealer reset.
Temperature control knob could only be moved from half way to hot. Then later broke completely. Apparently the lever in the heater core froze up, and the plastic wore down and broke. After waiting over a week and half dealer finally get in correct part and fixes it.
After fixing the heater problem I realize my Drivers window no longer has an auto up/down feature. I take it in to be fixed. The idiot "service manager" comes out after about an hour and tells me that the Driver's window doesn't have that feature, but the other windows do. Ie. All other three windows will automatically go up and down by pushing/pulling the switch all the way, just not the drivers- a feature I never had. I explain that it did actually have a drivers auto up/down and not on the rest of the windows. He doesn't believe me. I ask him to show me the new feature my car has. He is shocked when it works the way I said it did. Idiot.
Tire Pressure light comes on again, at about 2500 miles. A few days later I noticed that the Passenger side front air bag cover has popped up a little bit on the left side. Dealer orders a replacement TPMS control unit and new air bag assembly. While I was there I asked the dealer to quote me on how much it would cost to replace the drivers side front door handle as I'd slide on some ice while getting into the car and pushed down hard on the handle to steady my self. The result was a loose wobbly handle. The dealer was nice enough to claim this under warranty repair and not charge me at all.
The Air bag and TPMS control unit came in about two weeks after I was there, but it took nearly 2 months to get the replacement door handle. Even after supposedly upgrading the order to 'emergency status' it still took 2 weeks to arrive.
Everything above has been fully covered under warranty and even several times included the dealer renting me a car from enterprise at their expense.
Now we've been having an ongoing problem with the air bag sensor for the front passenger. When my wife is siting there sometimes it will seemingly randomly switch off (the light comes on). But shifting around on the seat makes things right. Right now I'm waiting to see if rumors are true about a recall concerning the wiring harness associated with that. If not I'll take it to the dealer and see what they think.
Out of curiosity EV, why are you asking for this info?
