older 240's overheating when they're first cranked

I've had two 240's and both of them have had this overheating problem when their milage gets high. what is caused by and what is nissans stance on it?

I'd take the top mounts for the radiator off, push it back towards the engine and check the front of the radiator. Normally, there's enough dirt and bugs there to totally block the air flow through your radiator. Mine even had 3 dead birds there.... don't ask me how they got there, coz I don't know.

Over heating when they are first cranked usually points to a blown headgasket.
