old stanza

my friend just got an old stanza with the ca20e motor in it. are thier any parts for this motor? is it even worth working on. or should he just swap it out for something newer?

very few people work the CA20 so i would say it is probably not a good performance base. the obvious choice is a (FWD) CA18DET as it is similar to the CA20 and will pretty much bolt straight in. if it is a U12 chassis the SR20 is another option that should fit without too much work.

well its my friends first car he is just looking for the basics like header catback cai and maybee a few others. i just havn't been able to find anything yet. is thier a websight for these cars?

you can try hksusa.com, or try site like aem and just see what applications they make their parts for, thats all u can really do, unless u wanna go custom stuff

i have a stanza, but dont think its worth makin fast because of the miles :(. mine has the ka24 in it, so maybe that will drop into his.

true, u could do an engine swap, but machinehead is right, thats a lot of money to be putting into a car with over 1ook on it

i love stanza's i wish mine was in top shape but its not but anyways for you look on antrx.com that is the alstralian site on stanza's. They calll stanza's Pintara's. I beleive a company over there makes parts for the ca20e engine's. The ka24e will not drop into the older pre 90 stanza with out a good amount of modification.

It is hard enough to finad anything for the '90-'92 Stanzas and most of the parts were found overseas so your best bet to finding stuff for even older ones would be overseas but good luck. As bad as this seems I would either swap it or prolly just buy another car or just not bother with it personally.
