I have a 1992 Sentra XE thats about o kick the bucket so i told my dad to rather than sell it for practically nothing, just uninsure it and let me play around with it, meaning mechanicla stuf, not driving. I figure since im not touching my Spec V i should learn something. But im wondering what i can actually do wit hit. Unless something breaks while driving it, nothing to give me experience can really happen. Is it still a good idea to keep it? Will i benefit from learning aroud nthis car even though i may not have a nissan later on?

I beg to differ. Fixing little crap and toying around, not afraid of screwing things up, could really help with being comfortable digging into cars and generally working on them.

It wont hurt to work on fixing it and stuff, it will mostly just come down to money though and how much its going to cost for you to work on or fix whatever it is your going to mess with on the car.

Acxtually, the thign is no money will be involved, since the car will never be driven again. the only problem is that there really isnt anything happening to the car that im going to need to fix. I was thining of just ripping the car apart bolt by bolt, since that might be fun. But i thought the best learning experience would be to crack open the engine since that and the trany seem to be the most technical parts in the car.
