In my opinion, it's not really worth buying. I have one right now because my car was broken into, and my SAFC II was stolen. I didn't have much money, so I picked one of the old SAFC's up pretty cheap.

It can only adjust +-30%, so the range of adjustment is very limited. Just to compensate for my 370cc injectors, I had to set it at -27%. In boost, it runs super rich, so I have it set to -30%, and it still runs very rich. Basically, with just 370cc injectors, you can't lean it out enough to make good power. My car runs just fine with it, but it needs to be leaned out more, which I can't do with the old SAFC.

so the SAFC2 is MUCH better? i want to buy one with an MSD ignition, and i dont know what ignition to buy either, im thinking the SCI, but i would like to gt rid of the distributor too

We weren't talking about the SAFC I vs. the SAFC II. We were talking about the old style SAFC with the 5 knobs. That's the one I was saying to avoid. When it comes to the SAFC I vs. the SAFC II, there's really not a huge difference, just some expanded features in the SAFC II.
