I was cleaning out the attic and found my old decal collection. They are from the late 60's early 70's era. They are still in pretty good shape. The decal part has shrunk a little from years of being in an attic, but other than that real good condition. I'm going to Vegas in August. I might take them to that pawn shop that is on Pawn Stars and see what they will give me for them.

The funniest one is one that says "Vega - 1971 Motor Trend Car of the Year" :chuckle: Doesn't say much for other cars in 1971, does it?

:lolling:

I'll try to line up some of the more interesting ones and snap some pics for ya. Might be a while...going out of town for the holiday. There are about 50 of them.

BTW, happy Memorial Day to everybody...especially our fabulous fighting men and women.

^I'm sure I'm not the only one who watched 60 Minutes tonight. Sal Giunta is an absolute mensch to say that the real heroes are the ones who gave absolutely everything. And he has a right to be cranky about the attention, given how difficult it must be to walk around with those enormous cojones clanking against each other.

Sorry it took me so long. Things have been crazy! Lots of these are duplicates and triplicates.

Most of those, I got by mailing a SASE to the manufacture. There again, my whole life has always been totally consumed by my love of cars. I have lots of automotive brochures from that time frame too. I would make my Mom drive me around to the dealerships and get them. I have a whole box of them.

I had a 76 Camaro! :) Silver LT with Firethorn cloth interior. I had that little 1/2 silver vinyl top. 350 4bbl.

Worked at a Chevrolet dealership and borrowed it one day for lunch, it was one of the salesman's demo. When I got back....I told him to find a new demo. :naughty:
