I"m pretty sure a lot of those answers are in the CA18 and SR20 forum. I think some of the advantages and disadvantages have been discussed already.

Basically, it depends on what you are looking to get out of the motor. Both are great engines, and both have pluses and minuses. If you just want to drop an engine in and not do anything to it, the SR20 is probably your best option. If you are looking for 400+ streetable horsepower it will probably cost you less going the CA18 route. It all depends on what you specific budget and desires are. It is a loaded question, and we need a bit more info to answer it.

What are you looking for?How much do you want to spend? What kind of car do you have? How much horsepower?Street or Strip?etc.

Those would help a lot in answering this question.
