I never really played many Enix games, but then I can't think of too many of their games off the top of my head. I am a big Final Fantasy fan, and a big Legend of Mana fan, as well as a Chrono Trigger fan. I have played every FF released since X, and I have liked them all (yes,I even liked the girly X-2, it had a pretty good story...plus, the freaking Yuna as a Flower of DOOM, and paine with armor made of blades were pretty damn cool). I have also played a lot of the older FF's, like VII and IV and Tactics. As far as I'm concerned, they are just getting better. The new ATB combat system in X-2 is very nice. It adds a lot of challenge to battles and fits in well with the change-on-the-fly job-class system. Just wait until Bweep wakes up and sees this post. He's a real Square enthusiast--heh, sounds like its the sixties in Britain.

As for RPGs, I'm heading to Wal Mart right after work today to pick up a XBox and a copy of Fable. I just hope I can find a copy of Fable, since I've already tried one wal mart and they are all out.

I have, however, noticed some really sub-par titles coming out of what is now Square Enix. Like Drakengard. Should have been great. It was just ok. I think maybe they are trying to expand their influence beyond their well-known franchises. Bad idea, says I. Stick with tried and proven technique, and don't fix it if it ain't broke.

I agree that Old Square was great. I miss game like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, All of the FF (SNES & GB). Mystic Quest was OK. Only thing better with the new Square is graphics. Enix...hmmm, I think I played some from them. I think Lufia, what else. Orge Battle was good.

I don't play much video games anymore though. But didn't Square and Enix merge anyway?

Star Ocean: The Second Story (old PS1 game) owns any FF game I've played... I still have yet to finish SO2 cause I got lazy... apparently there's a new SO, finally... anyways, yeah, just had to chuck that in (SO is an Enix project, fyi).

Can't beat the good old Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, & FF III on SNES. I d/l some emulators of these games and they're just not the same. It sucks cause I sold all those games for 27-35 bucks a piece on ebay. I regret selling those games. Still have my SNES though for my crack (Tetris Attack!).

you IDDDDDIOOOTTT!!! :P

Chrono Trigger new goes for 100 bux now, FF3 goes for 70 and secret of mana goes for 50. Can we say whomp whomp?

I'll be buying a sega genesis soon. I loved that system and my bro broke it >_<

And emulators are never going to be the same because a giant graphics cards works different then a computer. So the graphics and sounds are going to be crappier on a computer then a system.

AHHHHH!!!!I know what it's like to be on the other end of that. I bought the very first NES release of Metroid for $2 at an uninformed game shop. I also got the original Legend of Zelda for 50 cents at a garage sale.I looked up the price of the releaes of Metroid I have--average is $52. I have an ATARI VCS 2600 with a few games (got it at the DI for $50), an NES, an original Game Boy (bought it off some dork for $5), a Sega Genesis, and a Sega Genesis 32X--which actually works!! At least, those are my old school consoles. I think combat is just about the best party game there ever will be!!!Only older system I don't have that I wish I did is the SNES. But I have most of my favorites from that on my GBA SP (Zelda Link to the Past, all the Mario games from SNES and NES.

I'll have to check out SO: till the end of time. It must be MASSIVE, since its a PS2 game (DVD) and has 2 discs. I don't think I've ever seen a multi disc PS2 game other than SO:TET.

Ahhh the Genesis...memories of my youth...

Shining Force, Phantasy Star, Snatcher (Sega CD), the Sonic games, Contra: Hard Corps, Ecco the Dolphin, and Lunar (if not already on PS)!

Damn I still play Sonic and Knuckles. I remember the commercial too. "Sonic and Knuckles lock on technology!"

Ahhhh...the memories.

LOL! It aint the same man. You gotta get the actual game. Then you could mix it with Sonic 1,2, and 3.

Good times.
