There is an interesting interview with Mr. Tamura, the man responsible for the skyline GT-Rs, in this month's Car magazine.

Also, an interesting article about a tuned R-34 in Banzai magazine about an imported, tuned RB26DETT producing 800BHP at 1.9 bar, normally 600 bhp at 1 bar. All for $100,000 AUS!

When one reads about these cars, it makes trying to modify a Q seem dumb since they are so heavy.

That isn't a fair comparson, the Q45 is not a sports car. To try and match the performance of two divergently different cars is dumb but tuning a Q45 for increased power and speed in it's own right is not.

thats still not cheap, and if it is around $100,000 in austrailian dollars that is $59,224.49 in the US. Dont get me wrong, thats much better than MotoRex and I think thats what your saying.

Do you have any info on who they used to import?

Huh? Do you mean by the magazine is only in AUS? If it is then thats not true because I have a few issues of Banzai myself, which they usually got something in there to do with drifting. Of course the mag is a lil more expensive then the regular ones, but i still like it.
