I was on the old .org site way back when I had a 240 (cant remember what it was called). Got my Z finally and wanted to share her with you guys.

She's an 03 Track

Picked her up this past weekend with 9,280 miles on the odo

Nice find man! When I got my 03 a little more than a year ago she only had 5,600 on the odo. They are really hard to find with really low mileage!

wow and i thought my miles were low. that's awesome.

She has been babied for sure, the tires look almost new. Still has the new car smell.

I was trying to avoid the 03's cause of some of the problems you guys talk about on here, so I guess what I want to know is what can I do to prevent some of these things. Like the seats wearing early? you guys get in and out a certain way without wearing out the seats to bad? and the window issues... I'm sure they wear out because of the auto down and up feature when you open and close the doors, just a matter of time.

The only thing that has let me down is the cd player, being from 03 it doesn't play mp3 cd's which is kinda a drag and there is no aux input. A nice double din replacement is 400 bucks.

The car is amazing tho, love the way it rides, shifts, handles looks and sounds. Its a huge step above the 240 in every way, even though the 240 was faster I think the Z is a much better car.

Since I have had her I help protect the seats by applying Zaino leather treatment twice a month. Their products are the best you should look into them for every aspect of your car. Knock on wood, but I havent had any problems yet. Both my alignment problem and fuel hose recall were replaced by the previous owner.

I recommend the Alpine iDA-X100. I'm getting my put in my 350z soon. I had it in my s14 and loved it. but thats only if you have an ipod or use flash drives.

Thanks Mr. Z. I dont have leather but I bought thier starter kit, looking forward to spending a few hours on it this weekend. Seems to gtet awesome reviews by everyone. Thanks

Orange thats an interesting deck, not sure if its my taste, I would like to get a 7 inch touch screen in there. One with a Hard Drive preferably.

Im guessing that I cannot hook an amp up to this stock deck.

Very nice car!

I've been hunting for a good line of products lately too. I ended up with Meguiars NXT wax and polish, but I do not like the results I've had so far. There are just too many fine scratches in the reflection on my black paint and the Meguiars products don't seem to do much about them. I'll have to give Zaino a shot once I run through a good amount of this stuff.

On the leather front, I was irritated to find a small crack in my otherwise perfect orange leather seats. I ended up using Lexol cleaner and Lexol polish on the seats yesterday and so far I like the results.

As a heads-up, I found a "re-spiffied" 6-inch orbital buffer from Ryobi on Amazon for ~15 bucks a few weeks ago; it's come in quite handy.

Cheers!

I wanted to get the Alpine IVA-W505 but I was just a little to broke for something like that. If you are looking for a good headunit though, I would highly recommend talking to Broadfield. I've bought all my stuff from him and he has great prices and customer service.

As far as hooking an amp up to the factory system, it could be done but wouldn't sound good at all and you would risk damaging your amp. The set up I'm about to have done is the Alpine headunit, JL audio component speakers (front), have a custom box built for a Boston G110 sub in the stock location of the BOSE sub, and then a 4x100 amp to run the front two components and the sub. all the bose stuff is coming out....

I'm pretty sure that it was possible for a track to have leather. I bought on 03 track last year that has Nissan leather in it. I think the original owner ordered it from the dealer before they even hit the showrooms, but mine is a track and does have leather.
