Did you read the indictment, or only the Times? Under all forms of US law, an indictment must state the underlying crime. That one doesn't, and will be summarily thrown out for that reason alone.

That isn't the real point. There is one thing, and one thing only, which separates a healthy democracy from a banana democracy. That thing is solving problems at the ballot box and not by force or judicial fiat. I was glad Bill Barr never went after Hil and Comey even though they richly deserved it, I was glad the Republicans got the impeachment of Bill tossed back in their faces because he didn't deserve it, and I was even glad nobody went after Richard Nixon, even though he really was a crook. The next step after arresting politicians simply because you can, is arresting everybody just because you can. The inevitable result of that is Chavez and Maduro. So be careful about your Trump sugar high, because the result will be Venezuela and I hope you'll enjoy our stay. You won't, but I can hope the sugar wears off before the Justice Department turns into SEBIN and it's too late for everybody.
