I bought a C34 Laurel recently with a rb25det engine in it. Since I bought it has exhibited a bit of engine stalling. It had sat for probably close to a year and a half without running so I put a few bottles of water remover over the course of the first few weeks. But, it still stalls randomly. Or, at least wants to unless I can keep it running with the some throttle modulation. Some days are worse than others, but it is definitely an ongoing problem.

So, do you think it is water in the gas? Or, something else? The plugs look decent enough, the coils...look fine, I cleaned the MAF, the fuel filter looks new(er).....

Any help is much appreciated!

why not siphon out the old fuel and eliminate that as a variable.. There's quite a few things that could cause a rough idle like you're talking about.. First things first though, I would ensure the fuel system is cleaned of any bad fuel

water remove ris not enough.
Its mostly just alcohol. you need ot get rid of varnish.

-Siphon out as much gas as you can
-refill with fresh quality gas
- add Techron cleaner additive use a bit higher concentration than recommeed.
- Go on a longish drive where the engine works out like hi speed hiway to get the injectors hot so the techron can work best.

repeat ( except for the siphoning part) once a week until problem disappears
