The Serial number of the car will be able to tell you where the car was manufactured and for which country it was manufactured. If you have an fsm of the ca18det or any USA cars, look at the first couple of pages, it will tell you how to identify a car by its serial number.

you need some spelling lessons! I don't think it would be Canadian. Beleive it or not the CA18ET isn't a chump mill either. I knew a guy with one back in the day, CA18ET with and SR20 turbo, fmic and a Rebic that used to hurt a lot of SRs and DOHC CAs.

Well, for one it wouldn't be a 200SX if it were a Euro or Japan model, it would say Silvia on the rear. So it's either Canadian or US, which in this case, is easy to tell the difference... The Turbo S12's in the US were only offered 84-86, in canada they were 84-88.

You got a Canadian there.

It's a pretty awesome car, I have an 87 XE (originally a CA20E) with an SR20DE going in fairly soon. Check out http://www.club-s12.org !

Would be a hard choice. My lil 86 crapbox is so easily maintained and parts are so abundant for it.

That option is kinda weird to see in the later Mk2 S12's, but not unheard of. A lot of people don't like the voice warning system, but it is kinda neat.If it has that, then it must still have the original stereo system too, since that usually gets disconnected when changing head units.

ooohhhh, it ran through the sterio system? I assumed it had it's own speaker behind the gauge cluster or something.

pond for pound the AE86 is the superior car. It is light nimble and well balanced with adequate power. TS12 is a bit on the heavy side but it is very solid, great platform.
