only one way to find out

Besides, who cares if a civic SI is a smidgen faster then an 2.5 A/C. The A/C turns way more heads and sparks way more "what kind of car is that" question than a lil civic ever will.

Add exhaust and intake and I bet it will.

I've kept up with a Civic SI before, should be a-okay.

Thanks for the replies peep's... actually i'm the one selling the Intake.. just wanted to get feedback and make sure i wasnt over pricing it..

and about the civic.. we'll... i've raced a civic Si before.. I only had my intake.. and I out-ran it but it was purely because of my bad a** driving .. but I know the headers give it quite a push and I told my brother that maybe it can beat an Si in a 1/4mile with just headers and a good take off.. but youre right.. I still get asked.. what kind of car is that.. my wife hates it..

It depends on what year. If it's the new SI K20 series, I would say NO.

the new civic Si with bolts ons and a tune can beat a 3.5 A/C ... I doubt headers would be enough for you to take one in a 1/4 mile... I don't think headers, intake, and exhaust would be enough actually

i don't think we can keep up with stock unless we are fully bolted with whats out there and we have a perfect reaction time, but i don't think we will beat it.

i can't really use this as an example, but my friend has the new k20 supercharged and he can keep up with my moms 335i coupe, thats fast, he has nothing else done to it besides the supercharger, everything else is stock

Cool.. we'll, i'll be the 1st to admit.. I was wrong.. I guess a stock 08 Civic Si can beat an altima (With headers) on a 1/4 mile.. but def not on a twistie road.. i guess that comes down to the driving.. WoW! I didint even know they made a supercharged Si.

Civic Si 197 hp @ 7800 rpm 139tq @ 6100rpm Curb weight 2899lbs2.5 A/C 175 hp @ 5600rpm 180tq @ 3900rpm Curb weight 3052lbs

The civic si may have more hp but at a much higher rpm, way less torque also at a much higher rpm and is only about 153lbs lighter.

I think the A/C could hold its own, esp with headers and an exhaust against a stock Si, but it would be interesting to see.

IDK, I think it depends on what kind of race you're doing... I think the 2.5 will take it off the line, but once you hit 60mph or so, and you get into the upper RPM, the civic will take off and not look back...

I think this is spot on... the 335 has tons of potential, but in stock form, it only has 300hp, probably about 250 or so to the wheels... the supercharger on the civic is probably putting out the same thing, in a lighter frame.... the civic won't handle nearly as well as the BMW, but in a straight line, it'll give the 335 more than it bargained for...

I have 3 friends with SI's from a 60mph roll I slightly pull on the completely stock 4dr. I'm even with the 2dr with intake, headers, exhaust, and reflash. And the other 2 dr is boosted so he leave me. From a dig though I murder the stock 4dr and the non boosted 2dr.

lol they don't, my friend just dropped one in, it is so fast

but yeah if my mom was into modding i would have her chip it and put full exhaust, down pipes back, and with dual cone intakes, and she would be fast enough lol

thats a lot of torque to over come. With the I H E, id say the hp is pushed up enough to smoke it, add in the STS and Bang. Stock to stock id give it to the SI by just a bit.

i think a stock SI against a 2.5s with headers and exhaust would be a good race but that the 2.5s would win.... if the drivers are even, the 2.5s should KILL the SI off the line and in the upper speeds the SI will start to come back BUT in the 1/4 mile there wouldnt be enough time for the SI to come back. a 2.5s with headers and exhaust would have the same HP with 40 more pounds of torque at a MUCH lower RPM so the 2.5s should win for sure BUT the civic is lighter so once it does finally get into its power band it will be slightly quicker but not enough to compensate for the a** whooping off the line.... race the SI and let us know what happens.

OH! that changes a lot of things. the SI is only available in stick right? idk who would win to be honest, it would be a close race. just remember to build up the revs before you launch it (step on the brake and gas at the same time while stopped and your RPMs go up to almost 3k). oh ya and also, leave it in "D".

I posted a quick review of the headers in the drivetrain & tuning section.. but not sure a video would do much since i dont think theres much of a change in the exhaust tone..

I think with Headers (Just installed today) and exhaust, could def give a stock Si its run for its money.. I've beaten an Si before but in a curvy road (bout 5 mile run) thanks to my eibachs..

what kills the race, is the cvt for some reason when you stomp on gas its takes a second or two for the torque converter to say ok ill put the the power to the ground now. thats what kills the race i mean with intake and exhaust i done 40 rolls against stock si's and they get the jump me but it stays like that till a 100 (this was done on a closed airstrip)
