Evos are fun cars. But they are near their peak. The G has much more potential. Also the resale of g35s went down since the g37 came out so you may be disappointed for what you get for the g.

the best evo is the evo 8 mr.......you can get the most power out of them without going trough the cpu....the cpu on evos are a *****....

all wheel drive rapes gas milage. They get about 15 miles per galon if driven civil. Most people on this forum would get 13mpg. Consider that. Plus you will have the boy racer stigma.

Wait... they make non-turbo Evos? Should be a good match for those non-turbo STIs...

Evo's are very fast and easily get over the same or better gas mileage than the G if driven civil. My buddy had one and I have had a highly modded 1998 eclipse gsx (same motor, 4g63). There is a lot of modding potential in those motors as they are almost bullit proof. You can easily push over 18lbs of boost on the stock internals as those motors are just amazing. You can easily get over 400 hp w/o doing too much to the car. Only issue is you can start snapping half shafts and U joints on agressive launches.

If you do end up with one your first mods could be a full exhuast from the turbo back along with upgraded I/C pipping and a better BOV, and a revised airbox. Just with thos simple mods you can easily yield 35 whp+ on those cars. Some over 55 whp.....only issue is you get the boy racer image.

there's somebody here on our forums that has a GSX they posted pics of that has something like 575 whp with that motor....

I'm an HUGE STI Fan.... It was my next choice... I actually might love them...

What I like is the sound of that engine, That deep growl that almost intimidates...

I've been up close and personal with a nicely modded Orange metallic STI in my alty, and needless to say... There was no competition.... That thing just left me standing still doing 55mph... In a cloud of black nasty smoke, and this is the funny part...

He was like 100 car legnths ahead of me, soaking in his victory, when I see this bright metallic orange peice fly right off his car... It was his freakin hood scoop, he pulled over with his head down and I blew by him laughing my A$$ off with my girl. I think the best cars in the world are manufactured by NISSAN... Just my $0.02.
