I ordered an exhaust from MVPautoparts or something to that extent. For good measure do not go through them.

My exhaust was rusted through in the mid-pipe, muffler gasket was done, blah blah. I needed a new one basically.

Got the the exhaust looked similar, proceed to hack off the old one, bolts were rusted so used the sawzall and everything, old exhaust=no good anymore period.

So I go underneath with the new exhaust a monza pacesetter I spent 300 or so on. Pipe to connect to the catalytic converter, not long enough to match up with the bends, seriously it was a good foot, foot and a half short. Then the flange was welded at the complete opposite angle, literally no way I could have worked with it.

So I got couplers, I got a flexpipe and I made it fit, for good measure I used goop and exhaust tape and a lot of clamps because the couplers weren't perfect, best auto parts store near me is Advanced auto where nobody knows anything at least around here.

It leaks a little bit, but its good enough for now, I have contacted the company about getting a replacement but I sincerely doubt they'll do anything for me.

Now what do I do from here? I just want to rid myself on the exhaust leak, any ideas?

Is the leak coming from a place where you bolt one piece to another? If so, get a gasket for it. Local auto store will have exhaust gaskets of various types. (i.e., the OEM style, rubber gaskets, gasket sealer(apoxy type of stuff)).

Was the exhaust your purchased listed as fitting for your car? If so, I would go back at the company you bought from...

Yep, just a poor quality fabrication on the exhaust. Contact the vendor and ask for the manufacturer's information as well. Now that you've rigged it to fit, they may be very difficult about it. It's easier when you have pictures showing that it doesn't fit and ask for a properly made one.

That aside, just find the leak and fix it. That's about all you can do for the one you have.

Yea sadly. Said direct bolt on, everything lol I contacted the company and they gave me their number and asked for mine so I hoping for a call in regards to it, assuming they're going to do anything.

After taking a look underneath without anger and such, my exhaust is pretty good as of right now the leaks are coming pre-cat, I was told that piping is more expensive anyone have an idea as to whether that's true?
