It will take a lot of money to get a 240sx/Silvia to beat a decently modded EVO. You'll need everything included in a turbo upgrade, possibly internals to handle higher boost, I'd try to make the car as light as possible, with fiberglass/carbon fiber body panels, strip the interior, etc. A little suspension work for better launches, good wheels and tires. Nitrous couldn't hurt either. Anyways, the early model EVOs aren't as heavy as the newer ones and they could also shed weight also. Since we don't have the older EVOs in America, I don't know what the going rate is on one. If it's cheaper than or as cheap as a 240sx/Silvia, I'd consider getting one. In America, since we only have the EVO VIII, the 240sxs have a distinct cost advantage. A guy I went to high school with spent (his parents' money) $30000 for the car (he actually owns it) and $30000 more modding it, and now he has a 10 second car. However, you can buy a 240sx anywhere from a couple hundred to probably 8 thousand tops. That gives you more than $50000 to work on the 240sx, so I'm sure you could make a 10 second car with that kind of money. So, at least in America, dollar for dollar, 240sx is the faster car.
