ok for the past month me and a friend been trying to get his sr20det redtop running right we got it back from a shop and have had problems with it. The problems we are having are weird. When u go from a stop at easy throttle car rides nice and feels like it wants to go faster but when u give it full throttle it bogs and just slowly accels. we have checked everything. The car is holding boost so no boost leaks. It has walbro 255 fuel pump and z32 fuel filter so iam saying fuel is good its running ngk r's and they are all firing so spark is good checked timing atleast 20 times. no real mods only the fuel pump and three inch exhaust. it builds boost all the way threw acceleration but it just seems like the car has no power any help would be great we are ready to get this peice running. we did notice that the maf had a small gap in it were it does into the housing as if it was warped or not going flush would that cause a prob sure it could but what are some other problem yall have had thanks

Sounds like a maf problem.

If it's not plugged in all the way, or wired incorrectly, your car will behave as you describbed.

I agree with the MAFS problem. If you can't rev past 5000rpms it is a MAFS problem. Check the FSM for a testing procedure or just find a different MAFS to try, also double check the wiring.

you could be running way to rich. when the engine is getting in more fuel than air that is being taken in..it will bog for a while and then pull out of it once the rpm's go up. also, are you running a high enough octane fuel?

Follow your MAFS wires all the way to the ECU. or test with an ohmeter.
