Ok this is another Digital Spedo question

I have done some searching on my lunch break and I have noticed that others have the problem with the cap and the soldering points in the cluster. My problem is a tad different. I bought this 1989 240sx about 3 weeks ago, and the HUD lights up, but the speed constantly stays at Zero. I changed the trans. from Auto to 5 Speed, with a new spedo, checked the wires, and still no dice. Am I missing something? I feel a bit confused with this issue, as I believe I have tried everything to fix the problem. Than you in advance for anyones help.

did you check to make sure the speed sensor is working?

Do you mean did I check to see if there was continuity at the spedo when it spins, yes and it came out of a running car that it worked in before.

the speed sensor is in the transmission.

Yes I understand that, as I stated above, I checked it, got another and checked it, replaced it, still no beans. I am pretty familiar with these car. I am not perfect, just know them rather well. Any help is apreciated (SP?)

hmm...have you tried another cluster? (or just that gauge?) it may be the whole gauge is dead or the whole custer. did you check to make sure that the harness is good also?

I have not pulled the cluster out, because I have not had a reason to. I was thinking about pulling it last night, but then I relized if there was a problem with the whole gauge, the other dummy gauge would not work. All of the other lights and gauges work fine. Also I do not have another working HUD gauge around here to check it with.

UPDATE: Spedo still is not working and now the HUD will not project onto the glass, but the dash still is illuminated at 0mph help please!
