but i dont know if its a '93 or a '96 and i am now worried about the whole chain guide breaking deal help mane how can i tell the year?? im noob

Welcome to NICO. The 90-93 have a small (5" diameter) badge in the front center of the hood and the 94-96 have a full grill. This chart should help you hone in on the model year. VIN can be found in the driver side dashboard corner (look through the windshield) and the build date is found on a sticker on the driver side door sill.
